This song is not only dedicated to the late great Crazy Horse but also the Crazy Horse Memorial mountain carving that is still ongoing. The incredible patience and very gradual work that is being done there is a perfect allegory or metaphor for what, and more importantly, HOW we get out of the mess we find ourselves in these days. I envision the day when the carving is all complete coinciding with the start of a new, more prosperous and peaceful cycle.
